Martial art schools are like families — each has their own traditions and customs that are handed down to each generation.
The following timeline traces our known history to the present:

Timeline
- 1931 — Master Lee De Jiang (李德江/이덕강) is born in Yen Tai, Shandong province, China
- 1942 — Lee De Jiang begins training at age 11 under Master Lee Yong De (李永得), a bodyguard for the famous Chinese general Zuo Baogui (左寶貴) during the first Sino-Japanese War.
- 1949 — Grandmaster Lee De Jiang relocates from Shandong province to Korea
- 1960 — Grandmaster Lee De Jiang begins teaching Chinese immigrants at the Chinese embassy in Seoul, Korea
- 1963 — (Exact year unknown) Grandmaster Lee openes his own school and begins teaching non-Chinese as well
- 1967 — Master Huang H. C. studies under Grandmaster Lee De Jiang
- 1975 — Master David Scott, Sr. studies under Master Huang in Uijongbu, Korea
- 1978 — Master David Scott, Sr. begins teaching at the Southwest Institute of Martial Arts in Lawton, Oklahoma
- 2001 — David Scott, Jr. begins teaching through the Austin Community College Continuing Education program, classes held at Akins High School
- 2004 — Class moves to the Sri Atmanandi school at 41st and Red River
- 2005 — David Scott, Jr. formally establishes the Chinese Martial Arts Academy of Austin
- 2007 — First class at the Cedar Park location April 2
- 2008 — Classes move to Murchison Community School June 2
