Traditional Kung Fu

long fist way kung fu in Chinese

Northern Shaolin Kung Fu is known for its rigorous conditioning and powerful self-defense. Our curriculum includes a full range of striking techniques, joint locks (chi na), ground techniques, tan tui (basic forms), long forms, self-defense, and a wide array of ancient Chinese weapons.

Avoiding conflict is the goal of the serious martial artist. The confidence gained through rigorous training of the mind and body will allow one to walk away from a potentially dangerous situation when possible. However, when life is threatened, the ability to survive and diffuse the situation through effective self-defense techniques can be called upon. Learning to use only that force necessary to escape harm is a primary objective.
